Glass Mastered DVD

If you require more than 500 discs from one master, it may be cost effective to get your DVD glass-mastered.

This is a process where a master disc is made and used to stamp the information onto a disc instead of burning onto the reflective surface of a DVD-R.

Manufacturing the master disc is an expensive and time-consuming process, making it prohibitively expensive for short runs. However, once you have a glass-master, the individual discs are significantly cheaper than DVD-R to produce.

We can also offer speciality packaging such as Digipak (TM) and pre-printed card wallets.

If you're working to a tight deadline, glass-mastering may not be suitable - it usually takes two weeks from receipt of artwork and master, although quicker turnarounds are available at an extra cost.
